1. What Affiliate Links Are
Some product suggestions in the Service—such as the contextual “gear for today’s weather” card (for example, an umbrella when rain is likely, or sunscreen on a high-UV day)—contain affiliate links to online retailers. If you make a purchase after following one of these links, we may earn a small commission from the retailer.
2. Amazon Associates
As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases. Weather InTouch is a participant in the Amazon Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.
3. What This Means for You
- The price remains the same. Affiliate links never increase the price you pay; the retailer pays our commission out of its own margin.
- Links are clearly labeled. Every affiliate placement in the Service is marked as advertising (for example, with a “Sponsored” or “Ad” tag) to ensure transparency.
- Suggestions remain useful. We select product categories based on current weather conditions, not on commission rates. Premium subscribers do not see these advertising cards at all.
4. Tracking
Affiliate links contain only the retailer’s standard referral tag. We do not use any additional advertising or cross-site tracking pixels to power these cards. Please see our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy to learn how we handle your data and consent.
