See the sky right now — live cameras around your location, with an AI check that the view actually matches the forecast. Because sometimes you just want to look outside, anywhere.
The problem
A forecast tells you what a model expects. A live camera tells you what’s actually happening — is it really foggy on the pass, is the snow settling, is the sky as grey as the icon claims? But camera feeds are scattered across dozens of providers, each with its own access quirks.
How it works
Weather InTouch pulls cameras from several sources and shows the ones near you on a map: a global webcam network (tens of thousands of cameras), national open-data road cameras, and a curated list of standout viewpoints. Duplicate views across providers are merged. Images are served through our own snapshot proxy, so provider tokens and keys never reach your browser — clean and privacy-safe.
AI ground-truth
Where a camera is in daylight, an AI vision check classifies the actual scene — clear, cloudy, fog, rain or snow, wet or dry ground — and compares it to the forecast, giving you a quick “matches forecast” confidence chip. It runs on credits, and cached results cost nothing to view.
Why it’s different
- Multi-source coverage. Global network + national road cams + curated spots, deduplicated.
- Token-safe. Images come through our proxy; no provider keys in the page.
- Ground-truth, not just forecast. AI confirms what the camera really shows.
- In context. Reached from a quiet “Live” pill on your weather card.
Pricing
Live webcams are a Plus feature. The AI ground-truth check uses AI credits (cached views are free).
